The Challenge

Fedway, with over $700 million in annual sales, is New Jersey’s premier wine and spirits distributor. Fedway has been working with Prolifics since 2007 to increase the level of service it provides its customers, but it wasn’t until 2014 that the companies began focusing on Fedway’s mobile capabilities. The majority of Fedway’s clients—restaurants, nightclubs, and taverns—have employees who are constantly on the move, but the company lacked an innovative mobile approach to making order placement faster and more convenient.

The Solution

Fedway once again partnered with Prolifics, this time to create a mobile application which, by simply scanning barcodes on empty containers, would allow Fedway’s customers to place orders 24/7 from any mobile device. This helped Fedway increase orders, attract business from competitors, and better manage its inventory. Leveraging IBM’s Mobile First Platform, Prolifics’ Digital Experience team provided Fedway with the mobile features, functionality, and results the company was looking for. It was just one more phase in a long-term, innovative relationship.
